Below is a list of SMS abbreviations and symbols used by the SMS savvy. When you're choosing your lingo for any SMS marketing, be aware that not all of these abbreviations will be recognised by your clientele and some will doubtlessly be recognised by none.
Our advice is to use a sliding scale. The younger your SMS audience the more abbreviations you can use whilst for older audiences we recommend little to no abbreviations.
